The College Summit



Q: What is The College Summit?
A: The College Summit is a unique college readiness and awareness initiative that combines college preparation with youth engagement and local Alumnae mentorship. TCS is designed to provide female high school students with information on applying to college and empower them to embrace all of their uniqueness as a young woman of color. All High School aged females attending school in Arizona, are encouraged to attend!!!

Q: When is the College Summit?

A: July 20th 2019 | 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM


Q: Where is The College Summit?
A: Microsoft Tempe Office, 60 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Unit 1200, Tempe, AZ  85281, United States

Q: What will the day look like?
A: The day will be filled with panels and workshop sessions hosted by Spelman College Alumnae and volunteers. Local high school students will work closely with Spelman Alumnae and volunteers to take steps toward their postsecondary future.

Q: Is there a cost?
A: NO – The College Summit is free for all youth participants.


Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Yes! We encourage you to wear your school shirt, or graphic tee-shirts that promotes academics a local extracurricular group, sports team or appropriate club. Inspirational graphic tees are also welcome.  

Q: Will there be food?
A: Yes – Breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided.

Q: I am not in high school yet; can I still attend?
A: Unfortunately, registration for The College Summit is for only for young women who are currently attending high school or that are high school age (13-18).



There are many ways to get involved and make a difference during the 2019 Spelman•ish The College Summit

We are in need of day of volunteers and presenters. Spelman College Alumnae are invited to participate as session hosts and speak on  Alumnae panels. If you're interested in leading a session during the College Summit or would like to serve as a volunteer or provide sponsorship for the event, please send an email to info@phoenixnaasc.org with “TCS volunteer” or “TCS sponsor” in the subject line for ways to get involved.
